About the role

Job Title:                                        Chef

School Location:                           Heywood Prep School & Nursery, Corsham, SN13 0AP

Working Days:                               Monday to Friday

Shifts & Working hours:               Monday - Thursday 10.30am-6.30pm & Fridays 7am - 3pm

                                                        (37.5 hours per week)

Working Weeks:                            37 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)

Pay Details:                                    £19,987.50 per Annum

What will I be doing?

• As part of our team, you will be assisting the onsite Chef Manager with the preparation and serving of all meals, including supper, for the site. You will be in sole charge of cooking suppers for 10 - 20 pupils Monday to Thursday, so it’s important to be confident working & cooking independently!

  Key Responsibilities

• Preparing main meals and snacks using fresh, seasonal ingredients, cooking for a volume of 200+ each day.
• Occasionally covering Holiday Club sessions (details will be provided).
• Keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.

About the Role
This is a site-based role, working directly in our school kitchen. You won’t just be behind a till or in a restaurant - you’ll be hands-on preparing, cooking, and serving meals that children genuinely enjoy.
